This year I have had the opportunity and pleasure to see my students grow from unpaid to paid engagements; host their own hometown events; go from wanting to be a speaker to speaking for a living; become published authors; I have watched them live their dreams with their eyes wide open.
However, I am not blind to the harsh reality of the speaking business; there are a great number of aspiring speakers that will never get a chance to motivate through the microphone. Why? One reason is that it seems as if you have to have a big name or be a celebrity to even get a shot. The talented New Generation of orators seems to get overlooked.
